Worldview Wars & A Call to Mass Exodus

crusadesThroughout human history worldview wars have raged and caused many kingdoms to rise and fall. Although America was founded on a biblical worldview, this too was not without a continuous fight to maintain that worldview in the hearts and minds of the people. The problem today is that a biblical worldview is no longer the dominant worldview of the majority of Americans. However, the worldview battle we face is not one waged with weapons of physical warfare. Instead, our weapons are spiritual (2 Cor 10:4-5) and involve casting down every false imagination of man that raises itself up against the knowledge of God.

But how exactly does the average Christian engage in this warfare? What can the average believer do to help fight this battle for the sake of the Kingdom of God? It is not so much a matter of “saving America” but rescuing from death (in the eternal sense of the word) the children and future generations we are losing to secular humanism. If we rescue these generations through real, authentic discipleship in the Gospel of God, we will also rescue and preserve the freedoms we enjoy in America for at least one more generation.

First, we have to understand a little bit about our enemy and see where the most intense battle is being raged. If we are not willing to take the fight to the enemy where the largest battle is raging, then we are not going to be effective in spiritual combat. That battle today is in the public schools. The bottom line is that if you are a believer in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, public school is no longer an option for your children if you want them to even have a hope of ever developing a biblical worldview. Either homeschooling (which is the ideal) or finding a solid, Christian worldview based Christian or Messianic school is the only biblical option.

Why is the act of removing your child from the public school system a direct act of spiritual warfare? To answer that question, I want you to consider the words, motives, and strategy expressed and then implemented by the enemies of God, back in Jan/Feb 1983’s issue of The Humanist magazine. The strategy expressed there has now been effectively implemented over the past 30+ years, while a vast majority of God’s people were in spiritual slumber and ignorance. The article states,

The Bible is not merely another book, an outmoded and archaic book, or even an extremely influential book. It has been and remains an incredibly dangerous book. It and the various Christian churches, which are parasitic upon it, have been directly responsible for most of the wars, persecutions, and outrages which humankind has perpetrated upon itself over the past thousand years…I am convinced the battle for humankind’s future must be waged and won in the public classroom by teachers who correctly perceive their roles as the proselytizers of the new faith…These teachers must embody the same dedication as the most rabid fundamentalist preaches, for they will be ministers of another sort, utilizing a classroom instead of a pulpit to convey humanist values in whatever subject they teach…The classroom must and will become an arena of conflict between the old and the new—the rotting corpse of Christianity, together with all its adjacent evils and misery, and the new faith of humanism, resplendent in its promise of a world in which the ever-realized Christian ideal of “love thy neighbor,” will finally be achieved. [Emphasis added]

These atheist, secular humanists also known as Progressives know that the battle for the mind and heart of each new generation is the way to win your children to their worldview and thus, unbiblical, god hating way of life. The question is, if your children are in public school, are you going to continue to let these god haters “disciple” your children into their secular humanist worldview 5 days a week for 13 of the most influential years of their lives? Are you going to continue to hand your children over to the enemy without a fight and then be shocked and surprised when their lives ultimately produce the fruit of death by the time they are 18 or 19, because the seeds planted in them were that of the enemy and not the Word of God? Or even if they do not outright reject “Jesus,” their life choices and beliefs show them to be “functional” secular humanists. Meaning, they confess to love “Jesus,” but their life choices are not consistent with such a claim, nor with a biblical worldview.

The idea of home schooling may scare many people to death. Consider the greater fear of your child, children, or even grandchildren, walking away from God when they walk out of your home. You may think you do not have the ability, time, energy, or patience to educate your own children? Don’t let such fears stop you from engaging in God’s will for your life. God equips all whom He calls, and if you have children, you have been called to teach: period. Therefore, quit looking at yourself and what you can or cannot do, because if it were about your gifts and abilities than you would get the glory. Instead, focus on God’s Word which commands parents to instruct their children in all His ways in all areas of life ‘while you sit in your home, while you walk on the way, when you retire and when you arise.’ Let God have all the glory while you simply step out in faith and obey His Word trusting that He will give you the knowledge, strength, and ability to accomplish all He has for you and your children. He will be faithful to send you all the help you need as there are home school organizations in every state with plenty of experienced parents willing to help you every step of the way. There are no excuses worth risking the soul of a child. We must take the fight to the enemy at the central theater of the battle and call all Christians across the country to engage in a mass exodus from the public school system. Only then can we have a hope of rescuing the vast majority of the next generation from death and be found obedient to the calling God has placed on every Believing parent’s life.
