The Hebraic way of learning is VERY different from what we have been taught. Traditionally we feel comfortable with a knowledgeable teacher or preacher. We are drawn to charismatic leaders, or to those who have impressive credentials. These teachers convey knowledge to us and we have learned to take in what they deliver. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOT SO with the Hebraic way of learning. Perhaps the hardest thing is to constantly ASK QUESTIONS. Some of our students have trouble with this, either because they don\u2019t know what questions to ask or because they have been taught \u201cto believe.\u201d But you should be questioning every teacher (including me) and every preacher. And, when you study the Word of God you should be questioning the text with intense curiosity. If you don\u2019t do these things, you will simply be reinforcing your tradition. Now, tradition is not a bad thing. But the Hebraic way is for you to \u201cgrow\u201d in your knowledge, and to always \u201cgo deeper\u201d in your understanding of Scripture. You can do this by asking questions. So, what is the Hebraic way?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hebraic way is for a disciple to be \u201clike his master.\u201d BUT STOP!!  This does not mean \u201chead knowledge!\u201d Instead it means the way the master is walking, the intense love he (or she) demonstrates for God and God\u2019s people, and the extent of his compassion for others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
