February is known as the month of love, valentines sent, gifts of flowers and candies given and good will delivered to those we love. These are human expressions of what every human wants. LOVE.  Part of being human is having emotions. And, because we are made in the image of God, He too has emotions. The God of Israel is the God of love as demonstrated by the greatest gift ever given, His only Son who is redeeming a very lost humanity. Jesus is the supreme example of what love gives and does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus is not only our redeemer, He is also the great intercessor. In John 17, we hear His prayer to the Father and what He intercedes for us. The God of love, the same love between the Father and the Son, is what Christ asks for us. Listen to a biblical explanation of love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John 17:22,23 The glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:  I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and <\/em>have loved them as You have loved Me.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did you know that that is what God wants for you?!  He wants you to know that He loves you as much as He loves the Son and as much as the Son loves the Father. When that reality hits the core of our being, a revelation that can NOT be shaken is established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, reading Scripture and living Scripture are two different things.  We need help in knowing that the love which is ours is the same as the love between the Father and the Son.  And God, in His great love, intercedes for that too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Listen to the apostle Paul who was going through difficult tribulation for his faith, but what was on his heart was love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eph. 3:15-21 I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,  that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, <\/em>being rooted and grounded in love, <\/em><\/strong> may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height\u2014 <\/em>to<\/em><\/strong>know the love<\/em><\/strong> of <\/em>Christ<\/em><\/strong> which passes knowledge; that you may <\/em>be filled with all the fullness of God. <\/em><\/strong>Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, Paul reminds us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 You are part of God\u2019s family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) God wants to strengthen you through His Spirit (love and strength are synonymous here).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) Christ dwells in us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4) Let us be rooted and grounded in love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5) His love is so great that we really cannot comprehend it without help from His Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6) Love surpasses knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7)) God wants us to know that love is the fullness of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selah: pause and think about that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because I am a concrete visual learner, the picture I get of God\u2019s love is so vast (wide, long, deep, and high) that the ocean comes to mind. If love is living water, then the ocean helps us understand God\u2019s living water because it is so vast. I do not want to stand on a rocky shoreline and look at this ocean of love but rather enjoy being in<\/strong> that ocean of love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Love is not just some lofty ideal that we have, Scripture is very practical.  I Cor. 13 is quite definite about what love is and what it is not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kingdom of God is the Kingdom of Love, for the King is Love personified. God is love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

February is known as the month of love.  Stability, confidence, joy, peace, and purpose are there when we live in the love that is between the Father and the Son.  It is a big ocean, and the only way to be filled with all the fullness of God <\/em><\/strong>is to daily allow God to baptize us in His love. Daily immersion will bring revelation and change.  So, dear reader, jump into the ocean of God\u2019s love between the Father and the Son. It is a priceless gift offered to His Family, to His sons, and to His daughters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus is the supreme example of what love gives and does.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
